“Like so many of my fellow Americans, I am gravely concerned about the state of this great nation and fear for the welfare of its people. For many years, I have harbored a deep uneasiness about a growing threat to our country’s freedom and safety, but have kept silent about it. But the time has come to break that silence and speak the name of America’s true enemy.
A man allegedly trying to break into a home is confronted by deputies.
“When deputies arrived, the homeowners were trying to subdue the man. Bates said the man would not cooperate with deputies and was stunned with a Taser. But the man stopped breathing and medics were called.”
God fucking dammit! Those police pussies need to put their Tasers down and deal with people like humans beings not cattle. By the way I think cattle should be treated better than they are.
“….initial reports are the man might have been high on drugs or alcohol at the time.”
Social news site Digg is in a bit of trouble with its users.
The link-aggregating site recently unveiled a long-awaited redesign, and left fans fuming. The new design favors personalization, allowing you to “follow” certain publishers, in a form similar to Twitter. However, many are now complaining that the new Digg gives too much power to publishers and not enough power to users.
Hey, here’s an idea! Let’s just destroy our planet! Doesn’t that sound just brilliant?
We are slowly creating a toxic planet and this fact makes me unable to breathe sometimes; it feels me with anxiety, helplessness, and hopelessness. Especially when I realized that corporations are NOT going to stop, and sanctions and legislation are NOT going to come fast enough, if ever. We need a global awakening to what we are, and we need to FEEL the fact that we are living on a 4 billion year old living PLANET! What we have done truly is absolutely insane. We are sociopaths, and commiting ecocide. Hopefully when we are gone the planet will coorect what we have done and will once again find balance and health, I know it will in fact, but I hate that we are taking out so much other life with us.
WASHINGTON—Calling it “perfectly safe for the most part,” and “not nearly as destructive or fatal as previously thought,” the Food and Drug Administration approved the enterobacteria salmonella for human consumption this week. The federal agency, which has struggled in recent years to contain the food-borne pathogen, and repeatedly failed to prevent tainted products from reaching store shelves, announced Monday that salmonella was now completely okay for all Americans to enjoy.”
Currently growth has no correlation to quality of life. I am a healthy, happy 28 year old. I don’t take any medication and have no medical issues; I am bad for the economy. If I smoked (tobacco revenue, medical costs), drove a car (less walking, more medical costs, more gas, more oil revenue), and ate more processed foods (more expensive, more medical problems, medical costs), I’d be good for the economy. My less healthy lifestyle would promote growth.
Until we redefine what’s good, we will continue to encourage self-destructive behavior.
