“A unionized public employee, a member of the Tea Party, and a Big Corporate CEO are sitting at a table. In the middle of the table there is a plate with a dozen cookies on it. The CEO reaches across and takes 11 cookies, looks at the Tea Partier and says, “Look out for that union guy, he wants a piece of your cookie.”—(via myfinestdefenses)
“Set in beautifully landscaped gardens, with a covered swimming pool, a sauna and a jacuzzi for Gaddafi and his guests, the palace offers a glimpse into the fortified world of a leader, who, according to US diplomatic cables released by WikiLeaks, suffers from a severe phobia.”—A glimpse into Gaddafi’s palace - Africa - Al Jazeera English
We don’t advertise or try to make any money here or anything. However, I just got this seed catalog for my garden and it’s more than I ever dreamed. They are all heirloom vegetables with tons of professional photos of the fruit and great descriptions. It’s a glossy catalog that is the size of a children’s story book and probably has like 70 pages. They have varieties I have never heard of from all around the world, like the Jelly Melon for example.
The catalog is free so have it sent to you. I promise you won’t regret it. I might take photos of the catalog itself and post it later. They also have a lot of flowers.
“Come looking for an article about Scott Walker being booted from a Madison restaurant? Yes, you came to the right place, but at the request of the restaurant owner due to abusive phone calls, the article has been hidden for the time being.”—Mind Stain: Scott Walker Asked to Leave Local Restaurant
As it turns out, [Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly and Rush Limbaugh] belong to the American Federation Television and Radio Artists union (AFTRA), which is the AFL-CIO affiliate for television and broadcast workers.
Yes, you read that right. While Hannity, O’Reilly and Limbaugh have been railing against union workers in Wisconsin, all three of them belong to an AFL-CIO affiliate union.
I’m gay, in a red state and I go into working class dive bars fairly frequently. Everyone fucking loves me. Tonight I met the most perfect man ever. He is ex military, didn’t wear anything on his face but a smile (the whole time), he was incredibly ripped and hot, works a blue collar job, and is married. This was a man’s man.
We had a great 2 hours before I left and he was completely straight. We even talked about gay sex pretty graphically. I don’t understand why we don’t make progress politically, because I can’t find a single person in real life who has the values or fears that I hear on Fox News when it comes to social issues. Seriously, where are the people I heard about during the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell hearings?
